Set Up a Binance Withdrawal Whitelist Safely

Enable the whitelist before an urgent withdrawal, not during one. On Binance's current website flow, open Settings, find Withdrawal, and enable Withdrawal Whitelist. Then use Address Management to add an address with a clear label, the exact asset or universal setting, the correct network, and the appropriate address origin.

Steps that preserve your options

  1. Open the destination wallet or exchange deposit page and copy its current address. Record the asset, network, and any memo. Do not rely on an old screenshot or truncated address.
  2. In Binance, open Settings, scroll to Withdrawal, and select Enable beside Withdrawal Whitelist. Read the effect: withdrawals will be limited to addresses on the list, then approve with the account's passkey or 2FA.
  3. Open Address Management, choose Add address, give it a recognisable label, select the asset and network, set the address origin, check Add Address to Whitelist, and save. Compare the first, middle, and last characters after pasting.
  4. Review the Whitelist Withdrawal Limit. Binance currently allows a selected delay for newly added addresses; changing or disabling whitelist controls can also trigger a temporary suspension. After the address becomes eligible, send a small test and confirm receipt.

If this does not work

An address can be valid in format but wrong for the selected network. Another frequent surprise is adding an address immediately before a deadline and discovering a 24, 48, or 72-hour security delay. Do not weaken the control to rush a transfer.

How to confirm completion

The settings page should show the whitelist enabled and the address listed with the intended asset and network. A completed test withdrawal should have a TxID on Binance and a matching received transaction at the destination.

Risk and account limits

Whitelisting reduces some account-takeover damage but cannot validate who controls the destination. Clipboard malware, compromised destination accounts, and wrong networks remain risks. Product availability and waiting periods can vary by account or region.
