Binance Spot Order Rejected by Trading Rules

Copy the exact error before changing the order. Binance applies filters per trading pair: minimum or maximum price, price tick, quantity range and step size, and minimum notional value. The same amount can be valid on one pair and invalid on another, so do not memorize one universal minimum.

Steps that preserve your options

  1. Confirm you are on Spot and on the intended pair. Check that the spendable balance is in the correct Spot asset and is not locked in another open order or product.
  2. Read the pair's current Trading Rules or symbol filters. For a notional failure, compare price multiplied by quantity with the live minimum. For lot-size or precision errors, align quantity to the permitted step size; for price errors, align to the tick size.
  3. Correct the order deliberately. Leave enough balance for applicable fees and avoid increasing size beyond your risk plan simply to cross a minimum. If the pair is suspended or restricted for the account, changing decimals will not solve it.
  4. Submit once, then check Open Orders and Order History. An accepted limit order may remain open rather than fill immediately; a rejected order should not be mistaken for an executed trade.

If this does not work

Rounding a quantity visually can still violate the pair's step size. A market order can also fail a notional filter because Binance evaluates it with a recent average price. Insufficient balance can come from fees or funds reserved by another order.

How to confirm completion

The order must appear with an accepted status in Open Orders or Order History. If it fills, Trade History should show the execution and fee. Never infer success only because the entry form cleared.

Risk and account limits

Meeting a minimum does not make an order suitable. Increasing size to defeat an error raises market risk, and repeated market orders can add spread or slippage. Trading rules and regional product access can change.
