Binance Deposit Missing a Memo: Recovery Steps
Do not send a second transfer to fix the first one. Confirm that the blockchain transaction is successful and that the destination is a deposit address belonging to your Binance account. Then open Binance's missing or incorrect tag/memo recovery tool and select the deposited asset. If the asset is not shown, use the separate self-service recovery route or official support; eligibility is not guaranteed.
Steps that preserve your options
- Open the sending wallet's completed transfer and copy the full TxID or transaction hash as text. Record the asset, network, exact amount, destination address, and the memo or tag that was omitted or entered incorrectly.
- Sign in through the official Binance site or app. Open the crypto deposit recovery area and choose the option for a wrong or missing tag/memo. Select the asset shown in the transaction.
- Paste only the TxID in the TxID field, then enter the exact deposit amount and the other fields requested by the form. Do not substitute a wallet address, email, UID, screenshot, or shortened hash for the full TxID.
- Review the data against the block explorer before submitting. Save the recovery request ID or status screen and return to the same recovery page to monitor it.
If this does not work
A common rejection is a mismatch between the amount or TxID and the on-chain transfer. Another is using the memo-recovery form for an unsupported asset, wrong address, or withdrawal sent away from Binance. If the withdrawal went to another platform, Binance says the receiving platform must assist.
How to confirm completion
Completion means Binance marks the request completed and the recovered amount appears in the correct account balance or a returned transaction is shown. A successful blockchain transaction alone does not prove that Binance credited the account.
Risk and account limits
Recovery may be unavailable and fees or processing conditions can change. Never send a seed phrase, password, 2FA code, or remote-access session to someone claiming they can speed up recovery. This account-recovery page does not include a registration pitch.
